I want to become a vegetarian to lose weight...

One of the many reasons for becoming a vegetarian is to lose weight and have a healthier diet. But by cutting meat out of your diet isn't a guarantee that you'll just drop the pounds. Sure, if you go from Big Macs to tofu, you're bound to see results, but i know people who've stopped eating meat and gained weight because all they've eaten are carbohydrates. Before you become a vegetarian be sure that you're prepared to eat food besides pasta, you know, like vegetables (it isn't called being a vegetarian for nothing).
